This is my mountain sub still under construction. Actualli I hope this is at the stage you can show something! I know pictures are not at the top level, but these are taken from a movie my friend is being done!
Giovanni, non riescho a vedera le tue foto. Ce solo una picola X. Di ce parte di Italia sei? Io sono nato a Bologna. Oh abititato a Verona e gorizia. Come vienni a prendere la passione per trenni Americani?
Mario: I enjoyed your photo's of your mountain layout. What is the % grade on your railroad? Stay Cool and run steam....
Geeky, I'm from northern Italy, a town called Brescia, not so far from Milan and from Verona! I'm interested in USA trains because few years ago I had to learn english as soon as someone can. Reading about something you like (trains) makes it a lot easier! After that I had long trips on Amtrak train by my own, trying to improve english (something I guess I need today too!). Ciao, Giovanni
Giovanni, Your photos are not showing on Trainboard. We see only a small box with a "?" in it. This usually means that you have stored your photos on a website, and also that this website does not permit you to "upload" your photos to Trainboard. I looked at your site at http://www.plasticando.com/ It is very nice! You could also place your photos on our site, Railimages. The website is: http://www.railimages.com It is free (although contributions help it to stay active). It allows you to show photos on Trainboard. Any of the moderators or members (traingeekboy?) will help you set up a Railimages site. Then you will show your photos rather than "?" I am not confident in my Italian after 30 years.
Bob, the ruling grade is a 3% on the layout. Having broad curve and long tangent helps trains to climb. Ciao, Giovanni
At the moment, you can see the pictures here: www.plasticando.com/model/marios/marios.htm ciao, Giovanni
If I recall correctly Brescia is on the FS line between Milan and verona. I vaguely remember seeing a steam engine parked in the station for display.
Mario's Pass, eh? Sure looks like Maria's Pass to me!! Great stuff, Giovanni! (for some reason, pics will not link, nor URL here)
