My MT F7s all lean to the left when looking toward the front. How can this be fixed? It seems to be a weight distribution thing, but I have not disassembled these engines to find out.

If the F7 leans over then the metal wipers, actually phosphor bronze I think which collect power from the top of the truck and conducts it to the frame is what holds them upright and if they are weak or have been bent for any reason then the engine will flop over to one side and usually it will go side to side if it stays on one side then one set of wipers has more tention than those on the other side and this will keep the engine leaning to one side only. Most I have seen will flop from side to side when they have this problem. I just take engine apart and realign the bronze wipers and then reassemble trying to get tension equal on all four. this can be a hassle to get it right the first time you try to do it, and keeping truck in the frame on reassembly without changing tension on wipers is a learned skill in my book.

    cheers Garth

Thanks Garth. For the present they are running alright. I had to take 2 out of 4 F-7s back to Caboose Hobbies to get fixed already and don't feel like going to the hassle to take them apart and reassemble them my self.
