I'm looking to modify an Atlas ATSF GP-7 with steam generator components from Details West. The DW kit has 3 pieces in it, does anyone have a picture of exactly where these 3 pieces mount on the short hood roof?
    Thanks!

    Dear Jim,

Google is your friend. Check the image section for this and it will appear. You will have to do some sorting. This units were for passenger service, so commuter rails (MILW, CNW, NYC, SOO) would be a prime place to check

On the MILW GP 9 I did the exhaust stack is towards the front on the firemans side. These units also had the, "torpedo tube" air tanks on the top, two on each side of the engine exhaust stacks.

If you do the search you should find a bevy of various examples, not just ASTF, to guide you. The Proto 2000 units that were "passenger" Geeps had the steam generator details and torpedo tube placement correct, so you may also want to image search those. The arrangement came from EMD as an available option, so the look was pretty much the same from one RR to another, 'cept Espee. I think they managed to mount lights on the torpedo tubes, steam exhaust, and an unsuspecting brakeman, on their units.

    Good luck!
