SHS has released their F7's. I just recieved my undecorated versions. Very nice units indeed. These are just out of the box. So the freight pilot will be installed along with Kadee couplers. Greg Elems [ 02. March 2004, 04:05: Message edited by: Greg Elems ]
Nice craftsmanship! Are you westernpacific going to paint it westernpacific into the colors westernpacific of a local fallen flag westernpacific? (Not that I'm trying to force the issue any....... )
Yeah, (WP) I am planning on (WP) painting it in Western Pacific green and orange. Since that is the colors they were when I hired out on the WP. I have another undecorated F unit shell that is in the process of getting the late F3 details that will be in the SP blackwidow paint. Greg Elems
It appears to come with a crew already at work! Just curious- How much interior detail is in the cab, beyond the two railroaders? Boxcab E50
I figured it's time to repost my pictures of the SHS F-7. Since Rail Images nolonger supports our pictures, I will show one from another web page I just posted to. I haven't started my reworking of them yet, but soon.
Greg, Green and Orange...........ewwwwww do us die hards a favor and paint it true WP.......Silver and Orange Just kidding. I am sure it will look great in any WP color Shannon WP LIVES
Well Shannon, I had considered silver and orange, and even pumpkin, but those are the usual paint job for WP. I remember when they came out of the paint shop in the green and orange in 1978. I also got to work on them as a brakeman in 1979 till UP took over. I have another shell that I will do in 913's last paint scheme of the quasi silver and orange. Does that help at all? Greg
Greg, Sure does, And if my luck holds out I may be there to see it in person. Also Greg do you have a site address for some pictures of the Reno retrack? If so let me know. Thanks, Shannon WP LIVES (no matter what the UP says)
