Since I wasn't able to get to the National Z Scale Convention, I wanted to do something special over at Ztrains.com. I was fortunate enough to have Kalmbach Publishing author and builder Pelle K. Soeeborg take part in a new Ztrains Guest interview!

Pelle works in HO but as I mention in the article his aesthetic sense and style can be studied, and borrowed from, by all model railroaders.

    Enjoy this special interview!

I agree, his work is top shelf.

What is interesting is that remark about gluing all the scenic material including ballast at one. He must have one fine "arse" mister spray bottel to keep all that from clumping up when applying the glue.

The fine mist business is interesting, when I need a really fine mist I've gone with a cheap single action airbrush at low pressure to avoid haying material blow all over. The single actions are quick to clean up and even a really cheap one will usually have a finer mist than a good pump / spray bottle.

    Glad you've enjoyed Pelle's interview!

Great Article John. Pelle is a great Guy. I've bought a UP Engine from him recently and we exchanged some pictures from our Layouts/Dioramas. I'll meet him this October during the 15th US Railroad Convention in Switzerland.
The Picture shows his UP GE44-9W in front of some of my Cars:
