just got back into model railway layout and using Dcc++Ex on a 24 foot x 20 foot loft layout in 00 gauge i use Jmri for computer control and arduino cmri nodes for servo and led signal control. and some automation nodes as well. also been playing with 3d printing rolling stock is mainly old hornby locomotives pre 1975 so far. looking forward to playing with ex-rail in the coming weeks john
Lovely. A complex and interesting Dispatch panel. Do the "T" indicators display turnout positions and the "S" indicators display track occupancy?
Hi yes the T is the turnout number and the S is my infra red sensors i use for automation for stopping the train at certain positions. i also use current sensors for block detection. there is also another panel which i did not show that i use for route changes. also there are now a few mimic panels which are not the best but work as well
My back ground is not electronic based i did study it back in the late 70s at high school then went into the aircraft industry working with metal. its been a big learning curve to get this to work all of this can be done with a little bit of knowledge and a lot of digging on the internet. i am happy to share what i have learnt on this journey if it helps others.
