Ok, guys thanks for the heads up. So nothing blocked but I will have to put each one in individually. I can do that.

In the past I've been able to but them in here as one list and each one would take you to the intended post.

I may try this again later. In the meantime if you end up at the cover page you can look to the left and in the bracketed area you can find the last five posts that I've submitted. Make your choice and I can only hope you find something that helps you.

    Have fun!

Yup. They must be put in one at a time. Otherwise the insert link function reads them all as just one continuous URL. After each one it needs to know "[/url]", then to start again.

    I'm at it again.

I went to a train show in Bakersfield, Ca. and really enjoyed myself. Meant some fine people, rubbed shoulders with fellow model railroaders and visited with old friends. Incidentally I have no problem buying train stuff from Jeff Sicklesteel. You got me good, JEFF! Grin!

Over at BarstowRick.com. Yes I vent a lot over there but I also share what I believe to be some good stuff. Here is some subjects that have been added.

You can go to BarstowRick.com to find these. Check out the NEW!

I've been sick and spent the down time watching various home made train videos. Aiiyiiyii!

So I went looking for some professionals to see what advice and help they could give us.
Yep, at BarstowRick.com I'm at it again.

    Check it out.
The last one gets into the discussion and the first one listed here just tops it off.
My other hobby is photography although, I haven't been able to do much of that lately.

Oh and before I forget I was able to plug in the two subjects listed above with no problems.

    Enjoy.

I noted this morning that 12 of you from TrainBoard did visit my website. Just wanted to give you a shout out of thanks.

Feel free to visit and snicker if you must LOL.

Today, got's a daytime operations session over at Russ's house, to go to. The BVMR's are at it again.

Now I went and did it...I added some more posts to BarstowRick.com.

We are now 161 posts strong. At this point I'm concerned that we may be covering territory as in repeating ourselves.
Mike Fifer, David E., and others all make contributions and deliver advice and How To's.
Take a look...if you dare! Grin!

The third one down is a open letter to all toy train and model railroad magazine publishers. Just a bit frustrated with some of
the stuff I've been reading and of course the terminology being used. Of course!

On the last one I beat my war drums. For those of you who know me, I suspect you already have that one figured out.

Ok, another busy day ahead of me. No model railroad operations today that will wait until tomorrow. Yesterday two of us teamed up to rebuild a switch ladder and access back onto the main. Looked good when we quit.

    Enjoy your model railroads.

I love a busy website and TrainBoard qualifies. I also appreciate the support members of TrainBoard have given to BarstowRick.com.

Someone asked me why I use such as the name for my website/blog. That's easy over the last 20 + years that's who I've been known as
so why not? Besides, Barstow has been my families home-place for years. Of course once they got a chance to retire and leave town they
all headed for cooler ports. I still have family there and I still consider it my home away from home. One of my favorite train watching
hot spots to this day. So BarstowRick.com it is.

Thanks for visiting and do come back. Like what you see and read there...tell a friend. Don't like it? Oh what the heck...tell a friend.

It's all about building the toy train layout or model railroad of your dreams. Oh and not making the mistakes I did. Aiiyiiyii!

So go get busy and get that train layout built. If you already have one then consider making some changes.

Fun? Once the layout is up and running ... yes, it can be.

Tonight! Operations night at John Acosta's, so I will be heading out the door to see saw and spot train cars while picking up empties or full loads
and return to the yard to make up a mixed freight. Maybe I'll get to run a passenger train?

    Go have some fun!

Rick, that was one awesome video on the train operations! Nice to see un-graffitted cars and locomotives, with cabooses still bringing up the markers. And never saw where they put out a flare at a railroad crossing when they were doing switching moves. Now we just need to find some flares in HO scale for the Gulf & Pacific Railroad!

Do you know what year that video was made?

The Railroad is lucky to have you as assistant senior superintendent, with your vast knowledge of the Santa Fe system which is the primary railroad represented on my layout, and that is why I turn to you for advise often. Although I'm sorry we have yet to find a problem on the layout that was due to the common wiring, lol.

Glad you liked the video. Pretty much like I remember my family of rails working the switching moves. Did you catch a type of flying switch or switching on the fly?

LOL Good one! The common wire thing. I understand there may still be other layouts out there operating on Analog DC with a Common Wire. Yours works amazingly well.

I think I was just promoted from brakeman / switch-man to what? Senior Super. That's cool.

Glad to be of help. As always nothing but fun while running realistic operations on The Gulf & Pacific Railroad.

HO scale flares. Let's see it's time for an oogle google search. Grin!

Ok, got it! Tiny flickering LED's at the end of a scale pipe painted red. Hummm! Do you think?
