    Hey,

Real quick. I just bought the Life-Like Proto 2000 Series GP7, ATSF Zebra Stripe # 2655.

I was so excited, as this will make a perfect branchline match to my 2-8-0!

Problem is, I very carefully take it out of the box and read the instructions. I followed them. But when I tried to put the shell on, it doesn't go down all the way. (Yes, I took the coupler packets off.)

I mean, it goes on almost all the way down, but it doesn't completely go down to the fuel tank, and it like wibble-wabbles (for lack of a better word)...

I leveled a ruler on the top of the inside mechanism, and it isn't quite level. The DC plug is sticking up just a tad above the rest of the chasis. Is that the problem? I can't push it down any further...

Nor do I want to break it by applying too much pressure on the shell...

I am also planning to get the Digitraxx DCC plug for the engine soon, once it comes into my hobby shop, if that means anything.

Help! I really wanted to get this running today on my DC circle of track!

    Thanks in advance....

Whiz, It sounds like the plug might be holding it up, but I really don't know how to fix it without looking at it. [IMG]

It should sit down squarely and the coupler pockets should then drop back in. The test of wether its on properly should be wether the coupler pockets will go back in, as these line up the chassis and body and hold it all together.

I found that on some of these I had to wiggle the shell around a little whilst pushing it down to get it to seat properly. It shouldn't need too much force.

Thanks guys. I got it. The two screws underneath the fuel tank which bind the shell to the chasis weren't lined up properly. This caused it to 'wibble wabble'.

With that solved, now I just have to get through the DCC installation...
