Actually with confectioner's sugar. I've tried to give the pictures a feel of fresh fallen snow and on the Alaska Caboose a feel of melting snow.
Wow Jurg, that looks like a lot of fun...powdered sugar sounds like a great medium to do this with...finally, Jug discovers a landscaping medium we can eat too!! ) Joe MTL
Ohhhh !!!! The second picture with the black rotary plow is A B S O L U T E LY real !!! WHY AREN'T THESE PICTURES IN THE MAIN MAGAZINES ?!?!? .
When the photo session is over, I blow the snow (sugar) away. The snow that John used for the Diorama is fixed like in the last picture. You can see the progress here: News from Rosetown
Great shots Jung!! I too have used "snow" on some of my N-trak modules. I wet the surface with 50/50 water and matte medium spray and sift baking soda on top. No worry about critters etc. It has a nice sparkle and realistic look and is very permanent.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!! Hand me my coat! Nice job! That pic with the Milwaukee Road, reminds me of the Vendome Loop in Montana.
Jurg, As usual, outstanding work!!! I agree with Jeff, you really need to send some of your pictures into the main stream model railroading magazines, they are truely worthy. Tony B... Wasatch Z Club
Friends it's on top of my list for next year to send some pic's to various Magazine's and maybe to Walther's too.
Sweet Success! I had to--it was right there.... I like the last one, although all are great shots. Very nicely done! That MILW 4007 looks very nice--all it needs is an electronic bell mounted on the roof. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=83212 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=376755
