    Hello,

I have 2 engines running wild on me by running too fast. I need to use CV29 to fix them. I knew how to do it but I forgot how. I am looking at the manual and my head is empty these days and it looks the whole thing is Mumbo Jumbo.

So could some one please put step to step instruction on how to use it.

    I greatly appreciate your help.

    Thanks.

I don't think that you need to change CV29.
Try setting CV 5 and 6. This should be mid speed and top speed.
Don't know what the default is but I would start there first.

CV29 is only for enabling 4-digit addressing. Sounds like your speed table, or start/mid/high values are messed up. Try setting CV02 to 002; CV06 to 048 and CV05 to 098. This will give you "switcher" speeds. If you increase the CV06 and CV05 values, you can get more speed, but this will slow things down to start.

Another choice is to reset the decoder (CV08=008). That will also reset the address to 03, but can clear everything out.

    Thanks.

Thank you so much. I used the CV08 since I do not have much program in the deocoder. It solved the problem.

    Thanks again.
