    Okay all!

I have a 22' X 10' continuous loop layout that I am on the fence about DCC. So...lets say I jump in and go DCC

Once you go DCC...do you really need much of a control panel with a representation of the track plan on it? I would still be switching turnouts with standard toggle switches at least for a while.

I have all the blocks wired and pulled back to the main panel...I just need to know your opinnions on what to do with them all now!

    Thanks

If you have an easy way of knowing which toggle switch goes to what turnout then I'd say there is not really a need for the control panel you speak of. You won't have to worry about the blocks with DCC, so you don't need it for that.

In my opinion, it could be beneficial but I don't think it's absolutely necessary.

    Hope that helps... [IMG]

If you put the push button, or toggle by the turnout it is operating, then you don't need a track plan.
