Splitpair kicks us off this week with this Halloween-scheme FEC locomotive, the 102 northbound at Dania... Pastoolio caught this stream-side scene on the Craig Branch... And DRGW-hero caught this BNSF coal drag at Larkspur... While BNSF FAN found this faded warbonnet locomotive...
Mikado found the Kentucky Railway Museum work train and crew... And bravojgt found this picturesque truss bridge over the Colorado River...
I almost didn't recognize you because you were without a camera sticking out of your face. Great shots everyone.:thumbs_up:
I was trying to sound like a Pentrex narration. I was referring to the orange and black as Halloween scheme. I don't think this is a widely used term for this particular FEC scheme. It does look kind of like Alaska RR, doesn't it? I want to give a big THANK YOU to Fitz for having taken this over for me last week while I was away on a family emergency. You took good care of the POTW and you filled in for me without hesitation nor complaint. Thanks!
My pleasure, Adam. Very nice selections this week. I think that Santa Fe cab unit is on display at Barstow, not sure. It was one of the two matched diesel helpers that we rode behind on the maiden excursion of ATSF 3751 in December 1991. :tb-biggrin:
