I received my C11 earlier this week and have been playing with it. It is very dainty compared to Tenshodo big brothers the Mikado and Hudson wheel arrangements. It is fitted with traction tires and metal valve gear. I have it pulling 24 Japanese freight cars in a variety of 4 and 8 wheel cars with no problem, it operates well at low speed but can step it out when power is applied and on my show layout it has a .5% grade to climb as it passes from left to right across back of my display layout. It is at home on banked track as well as standard track. It will also pull 6 passenger cars without a struggle. I have not looked under the hood yet but suspect that getting a decoder into it might be challenging. Turning the model upside down you can see a metal chassis with motor at coal bunker end of the chassis and it look to completely fill the shell cavity. It has headlight at both ends, that are operational and directional . The unit as delivered has a mini rapido coupler at rear and a dummy coupler at front but included in the box is a replace pilot truck with mini rapido coupler and both the rear and front couplers can be changed out for Rokuhan short auto latch coupler if desired, but the this is an additional purchase.
