OK, totally dumb question here...what's the difference between a LH and RH double slip? Seems like the switch works as a straight thru crossing in one mode or a switch that works on either direction, based on their video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwrKnw4dOyE I don't get why there's a LH and RH version.
The notches on the extra straight pieces are different. http://www.zscalemonster.com/rokuhan/turnout/r034.jpg http://www.zscalemonster.com/rokuhan/turnout/r035.jpg
It has one track that is the through track and one that crosses over. Those crossovers are angled to go either right ir left. As Chris said the notches in the straight pieces are notched on opposite sides to allow track clearance for the track that crosses over. Have a look at Anyrail track planner (free download) to get a better look. Trey
left and right hand in cross over and double slip from rokuhan reefers to the track ahta comes with these pieces and which side the notch is cut on, the straight thru route can be either direction as electrically they are identical but the two track meeting in the acute angle one has to be notches to fit, so your require two notched track pieces for the cross track, so depending on hoe you lay them you need a pair of left side notched or right side notched connecting tracks.
