Greetings, the layout has it's tables, track, trains and major scenic objects. For me it is time to begin acquiring people and animals. Currently I have quite a selection of 3D printed figures from Mini-Prints. Scale: HO Types: Texas Longhorns, Bison, Sasquatch, Seated figures and benches, Santa, 'On the Edge' (of a cliff), and a few others. I hope to get most painted this week. I'll post before and after shots. Mini-Prints 3D printed Usage: Bovines will be part of the 'Longhorn Bison Dude Ranch'. Seated figures will first be part of my open air excursion train. Painted, ( In the past, (N Scale), I or family members): Sasquatch will be at the edge of forrest. Elk will be in the in a clearing Santa will be on the holiday train Mounted the figures on white painted thin plastic sheets, (from package material), Painted the figures white using thinned paint. I would prefer spay but it is just not an option) We used basic acrylic colors most of which I'll mix myself from red, yellow, blue white and black. I think we all would love to see / know: Your scale What types you have The brand Usage / placement would be great! Did you paint them? Painting technique?

And now for something a little more modern and urban; apologies for the foam only-moved a few months ago and just now getting benchwork and foam up. Metra work crew in a Ford F-350 (model power undec seated figures, legs amputated, colored with fine point sharpie, in a River Point Station truck that I weathered and added Fusion Scale decals and 3D printed and BLMA details in the back) Wisconsin Central crew in a Ford F-150 (same brand & method for people, in an Atlas factory-painted truck that I weathered) Commuters steeling themselves for the grind in Metra Nippon-Sharyo Cab coach (usually same method for figures, with some Dijikejis figures thrown in, interior light installed but off in the Kato coach. More commuters in a repainted Metra Pullman coach (Kato Pullman Fusion scale decals for repaint, light installed and on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Speaking of convict labor, down on the P farm in Sugar Land. "P" is for penitentiary. The Central Unit was made famous by the movie The Sugarland Express. There was also a Football player from Sugar Land named Ken Hall who had that nick name and went on to play in the NFL. Thank you berry much. Baseball been berry, berry good to me. Durn caboose had to derail right on the crossing holding the Argonaut up on its way to Houston. The Argonaut crew was not too happy bout that.
Even though I'm not a "people person", I do have some on the layout. They leave me alone and I leave them alone Here is a survey crew laying out the soon to be who knows what. Painters at work Commercial roofers and some folks enjoying the traffic A couple of guys exaggerating their golf games A fella dropping off some recyclables And a few folks enjoying some soft serve ice cream
Very nice, especially Herbie and the Batmobile. I have the same ice cream stand and think it might look better when it is lightly raining. Ice cream is always better with a few sprinkles on it!
