Beauty, utility, reliability, value... Most of my new layout will be built with Unitrack that is over 20 years old from my old layout. Some of it even has the older, painted (lighter colored) roadbed, with copper-colored Unijoiners. I picked them up (as new old stock) at a train store in Addison (north Dallas). I probably won't use those pieces, since they don't match the "new" (some still at least 20 yrs old) pieces' darker roadbed.
I’m sorry to see this layout go but fully understand and agree with your reasoning. I’m looking forward to following your new layout build.
