Hi - I posted this on Bmann site, but I'm impatient, so, please excuse that ist seems directed at Bmann.

I bought the Acela set, because my daughter will be riding the real one back and forth to school in Mass next yr (an excuse, is an excuse). I held off this long on the sets reputation. Sorry Bmann, LOVE the steamers you are doing. Dissapointed this set never got revised/Spectrumized.
To the point. I was reading (in another forum) that the stand alone Cafe car is of higher quality that the set car.
Bmann, can you confirm if/how the 2 models differ?
    Thanks

Any thoughts on the cafe car differences, if any?

I've read and will impliment the wheel/nose/flange fixes. I haven't seen an fix that really addresses the cafe car gears flying apart. Yes, I think Bmann warranty and post warranty support is awesome, But, like most, I want to run them.

    As usual THANKS!

They are pretty much the same car, with different car numbers. There are a lot of upgrades that can be made to this set, but keep in mind right now your set will be incomplete because the business car is no longer in production.

    Thanks Daniel
On LOTUS rails, I wouldn't know a business car from a cafe car (if it didn't have a motor :) ). I do need it to run though. The wheel, nose and flange upgrades, I can handle. Remotoring, or regearing. Not so much. I will try and get it running and use Bmans service, if I'm an unlucky one.
