    Does anyone know if early (1890/1910) steam loco kits are available?

    Bowser made kits but it appears they have stopped. You may find something on Ebay. Good luck!

    Bowser and M.D.C. stopped making kits around 2000. The old kits cost too much to make and did not sell well anymore.

    I bought a MDC 2-6-6-2T just before they stopped producing them and I have to say, it was great fun, (and a challenge) to build it.
    I'm in the process of converting it into a cab-forward, have not worked with it for some time now!
