Thoughts on the Atlas S-2/ESU Loksound and a speaker transplant

    Well, honestly, I didn't actually use this procedure. I have a LokProgrammer, and what I did was put the engine on a programming track, and changed the status of F8 to "not F8" in the LokProgrammer (this is also discussed in that same FAQ). But I'll put the engine on a programming track and check the values of CV's 403 and 13 and post them later today.

    I checked, and CV403 is in fact set to 16 (did you remember to set CV32=2 before changing the value in CV403?). FWIW, CV13 on my S-2 is set to 160, though I agree that it shouldn't matter.

    If you know someone with a LokProgrammer, this can be changed easily using the LokProgrammer software. If you live anywhere near central Illinois, I'd be happy to do it for you.

    Worked it out... Because of the way JMRI changes CVs it does not sequence them, which is part of the Loksound indexing scheme ...... when I changed the CVs using my Powercab (according to the ESU sequencing order) I was able to reset to "mute on start". Thank you
