Can anyone please tell me how many notches there are in a Tsunami diesel decoder that cause the engine sounds to go up a notch? Are these triggered by your loco stepping up to a specific speed (if so, what aprroximate speeds are these)? Or are these based on time it might take a real train to move from one speed to another? Thank you.
This is setting is settable with a CV. Don't recall just now but if you have not gotten a reply by tomorrow I will get back to you and let you know the CV to change- You could also check the manual and check it out. Take a look here : http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals.php
Have you read through the Soundtrax decoder manuals ? There is a bunch of info in there if you know where to look ( don't ask me how many times I read through it ) . This one may help..... http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals/tsunamisteam_users_guide.pdf
Bits 0 - 3 of CV116 sets the notch rate; how many notches per speed step. 0=Manual notching based upon F9(up) and F10(down), decimal values 1 - 15 determine speed steps per notch with 15 = 15 speed steps per notch. Default is 7. Note the bits run from right to left 0 - 7. Attached is the subject page from the Soundtraxx Diesel Technical Reference
