I have just seen a magazine advert for a new range of HO Walthers Cornerstone kits called 'modular'. These are designed to use several parts to make your own design, shape and size of building and look fantastic with endless variations to be made. Alas, knowing Walthers us N scalers will not see something so useful and badly needed, maybe forum members should email walthers and let them know? Whos with me!

Walthers is well aware of the demand or lack of it for N scale merely by keeping tabs on how many hits they have on their N scale pages as compared to their HO pages. If and when it will pay for them to do it, they will.

I think the modulars are a terrific idea and will give us a lot of variety and opportunity for artistic advancement way beyond "Your Northern Power Plant looks like it's weathered better than mine, what did you use?

Whoppit, at the springfield show, the walthers reps told several N scalers that we are getting the modular system in N later this year. They also said they are working on new rolling stock releases. Hopefully they are better than their last ones. For more info, look for dan leavitt's springfield report on the big board.
