Hi guys, I just joined the forum. I am a regular on nscale.net. I started modelling trains in HO when I was a teenager, but fell out of it as I got older. I never really got beyond laying the track. After college, I decided to start back up with model trains. This time I decided to model in N-scale and to use Kato unitrack. I am currently designing and building my own layout. A few months ago, I joined a local DFW Model Railroading Club. I love to learn new stuff and if anyone in the DFW area wants help with their layout. I would love to help them in exchange for learning tips and tricks.
Welcome to TrainBoard Warner! I see you've already found and joined the Kato Unitrack Users Group. There are tons of useful tips and tricks to be found there. The group manager RBrodzinsky has an excellent layout that is completely Unitrack and I suggest checking it out. Here's a link: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?112244-The-JACALAR-RR-Benchwork-begins! The Layout Design and Discussion forum is also a great place to learn track planning tips, as well as receive direct feedback from some of the greatest layout designers around if you post your own track plan for review. Be sure to tell all the guys down at the DFW Model Railroad Club to come by and check TrainBoard out as well. I look forward to seeing your progress.
Howdy, Warner- welcome to Trainboard! You're in a great place to be a model railroader- with the LMRA and Ft. Worth shows coming up, plus the Plano show in January, you'll be busy. I used to attend those events until I left the area.
Welcome aboard Warner. I'm new to Trainboard.com too (came over from the Atlas forum...) and there seems to be plenty of good people, good modelers and good ideas. Smooth rails!
Welcome to TrainBoard! There are many aspects within this site available for use. Please be sure to explore them all. Boxcab E50
