Nelson, Great looking layout I especially like the neatness of the room and how it fits nicely in the attic. Here are a couple of shots taken for this topic. 1. 2 Rock Island GP40's about to depart the yard throat. 2. SNFF 2005 12 11 A very unusual exhibition train visitor to the Peavine Line passed thru this week: This is my 'tribute to my wife train' (keeping my wife happy with my model railroad hobby) A side view of the loco: This isn't a fantasy scheme, it was a special GM EMD 50th Anniversary paint job: http://www.trainweb.org/chessie/gm50.htm And the loco is a N Scale Collector special edition run, thx to a eBay for being able to find and purchase it. ==================== I was in San Diego on business earlier this week, and dropped into the San Diego Model RR Museum to check out the status of the La Mesa club's HO Tehachapi Loop layout. It's in and trains are running over it now , it was officially dedicated in Aug 2005: Here's another view of it: The club is in process of building of 1/2 HO scale model (that's about N scale!) clay model of the scenery that will go into this area, to make sure they get the contours right before they go forward with that construction. A previous set of Layout Tour visits to this club over time can be seen at: Oct 2004: http://community.webshots.com/user/atsf_arizona_layout_tour2 Jan 2005 - Tehachapi Loop under construction: http://community.webshots.com/album/256621879EmVWpr And now, the above photos. ========================== Have a good week, all!
