With the CP steam engine making the news this week, I have to share some of mine. Cheers!

Kenmare Hill, west of Kenmare, ND at MP 521, CPKC Portal Sub:

While searching for a good shot on the hill, I found CP 148 at MP 523.5:

Northern Plains Railroad leads a short train of about 20 loads up the hill out of Kenmare on the old Soo wheat line, MP 603:

CP 2816 leads its train past the Des Lacs River, west of Burlington, ND:

The star is CP 2816, of course, but the Northern Plains Railroad is interesting on its own merit too. I just looked it up at https://www.nprail.com/railroad/ and they have a respectable regional network.

    Great photos, as usual, Hemi.(y)

I wish all the power looked this good! Eastbound NS 26X is led by an AC44C6M released from Wabtec's Erie plant in March. Taken yesterday, Thursday, 2 May, at Wyo JCT

While driving up toward Austin, Texas on Wednesday, saw some old GP 60s. The lead unit still sporting most of its Cotton Belt paint.

That 2816 is a real beauty for sure. Great stuff Hemi!

Great light on that pony Sepp! Nice catch.

And Russell, a GP60 still mostly in SSW, that is a great find!!!!!

Nothing exciting from me this week so here's a couple of CSX B boats in Cartersville GA back in 2007

From July 1985 at Trenton, NJ, AEM-7 929 is ready to roll. The plant I worked at had shut down for a few weeks because of a decline in business, so I rode the Crescent up from Birmingham, AL to visit friends. The 929 was later bought by Caltrain.
