    Chrysler Corp. maintained two independent dealership franchises at that time; Dodge/Desoto and Chrysler/Plymouth. The discerning eye would realize that all brands marketed the same bodies, only the "gee-whizzes" were different for each brand. I knew people who swore by one brand, and would never buy one of the others claiming they didn't have the quality and reliability...whatever. o_O
