I planted all 12 of the power poles on the modules, then decided to just stare at the module set. I guess I ran out of steam. I primed some Chinese figures for painting into railroad workers wearing light gray overalls but I just feel like looking and thinking this afternoon. Here are some day and night shots for fun:

Love this mini world! This is simply art. Would love to see this in person.

rray , forgive me for always asking (unable to give much in return) but... Can you take a close-up picture that shows a building on its foundation?

I am assuming you mean the Cherrie Poppin's Playhouse? I really like Art Fayhe's (Bar Mills) Wicked Wanda's model, but it is not available in Z. Oh no, what am I going to do? LEACH IT of course. I see, I like, I duplicate in my scale. :D

Here is the overhead view:
01 Cherries.jpg

Here is the foundation. It has 2 copper tape electrical contacts, and that small square device is a bridge rectifier, so my accessories can run off AC or DC:
02 Cherries Foundation.jpg

Here is the rear right view of the model:
03 Cherries Right Rear.jpg

And here is the front left view:
04 Cherries Front Left.jpg

Underneath you can see I modified this model to use the Pogo Pins spring loaded electrical contacts by extending the foundation piece so they will just barely extend past the bottom of the foundation, and make spring loaded contact with the 2 copper contacts on the base foundation. There are also super magnets to hold the model in place with authority:
05 Cherries Bottom.jpg

And here is a shot of the driveway leading up to this house of ill repute: :D

rray exactly the close ups I was wondering about. Thank you for being such a nice person to share all this experience and knowledge with this group (and me for sure).

Keep looking out for your posts and it's magic,

The night shots are too cool! Has that 9:30-10:00 in the summer feeling! But I totally understand just sitting back and watching. I’ve been doing that a lot with my layout. Running watching and thinking about what next….

I'm planning on building modules of the Western Pacific Keddie Yard. I'm still learning Coral Draw which I drew up some basic dimensions, then handed them over to Robert Ray, which he cleaned up the drawings so the parts would be correctly cut on his laser. The first building I've just completed is the older Keddie Depot. Robert did the wiring of the depot, which really helps the depot really pop! The modules will include this depot, a newer depot/Yardmaster office, sheds, fuel tanks, and two water tanks! Once these are done I will continue with the four stall engine house, turntable, and maintenance /boiler building, and any other service facility buildings. This is the first time that I will be 106.JPG 103.JPG working on a prototype scene! 102.JPG

I am starting a new project too, I need some stock cars, but they have to be Northern Pacific.
Here is where I am so far:

Excellent. I am a huge cattle car fan. Nice to have an engineering drawing to work from as well.

That station is pretty cool! I really like the size of it! Like it’s ready for business!

So Rob obviously those stock cars look fantastic. Are you gonna add weight to them?

I sandwiched in a .375" wide by 1.75" long piece of .032" thick lead sheet into the underframe.

And today I built and painted the final rev3 of my model.

Prototype reference, and the reason I had to have some stock cars, because they look good in a yard sitting next to a coal dock ramp:
NP Stock Car 82596.JPG

So now I have a car that can sit next to MY coal dock ramp:

It looks great! And of course you can’t have A #1 and old cigarette without a northern pacific stock car! ;)
