Thanks Kurt! Speaking of colorful lash ups, I saw on the Friends of BNSF page on Facebook that BNSF is pulling some of the warbonnet dash 9's out of storage!
A batch or two of the C44-9W are going off lease and being returned. Possibly some of these are included?
Grain double leaving Minot on the Glasgow Sub 3x3x0: Nearly a mile away, you can barely see the DPUs are slugging it out hard: Midtrain DPUs: Rebuilt SD70MACe:
A good looking H1 chillin' in South Seattle yesterday And then found a MAC rebuild on a NB coal near Aburn, Wa.
From left to right, KCS waiting on the Victoria Sub with auto racks, BNSF container train on the Galveston Sub south bound as it pulls across the UP Sunset route and BNSF container train in the hole waiting to head toward Sealy, Waco and beyond. And a truck on top of it all. In front of the Rosenberg Railroad Museum.
Interresting ! A drag freight pulled by a solid set of 4-axle units... Not that frequent, I guess. Dom
"Traffic Jam" A double grain load prepares to build its train and pulls out of the old GN yard in Minot, ND and under the former GN footbridge. This movement set the stage for a traffic jam that would last nearly four hours. A combination of PTC issues, DPU connectivity issues, two other locals, plus Amtrak would converge on the scene to bring two railroads to a standstill at the Soo Tower interlocking. With the 8331 local (Minot to Williston, ND and back) on main 1, a local job for picking up the bad ordered cars on the spur track visible in the foreground rolls up on main 2. "Bad Order Express" A local job from the yard gets permission to move from east of CP2030 on the BNSF KO Sub to just behind Amtrak (just out of frame at left) and ducks into a spur track to retrieve several bad ordered cars. The double grain load that caused so much trouble this day is still languishing on main 1, tying up the main, the old yard and the CP diamonds.
