BNSF 2713 has been built as BN 2713 in 1980 or 81. Old pictures show her riding on black trucks, though around 2013 they start to look gray - probably dirt. Those peeling silver trucks must have been a recent swap.
Looks factory fresh still, even though she came out of GE in the late 90"s! Note the other Warbonnet in the background, there were TWO on that NB coal train!
They seem to be everywhere lately! Dunno if they got pulled out of storage and refurbed or what, but yeah, see them alot!
I've seen a lot of older units like those GE Dash-9's that went to the leasing company, and the older SD60's and 70's that were written off the roster.

Three slugs in fact. These locomotives had all been parked in the yard at Galveston for many months along with many others to await disposal. This string was heading to Temple, Texas to be distributed to various buyers and made it as far as Orchard where they are parked on a siding.
