Mixed Lot Train Cars N Scale Life-Like Minitrix Bachmann Lima Freight Hopper | eBay < No Thank You, Good Luck ! Tom
The late, great Jean Shepherd (best known for "A Christmas Story") commenting on his long-running radio show one night about a discount department store chain that once existed in New Jersey: "Attention Great Eastern shoppers... we have a special on used donuts..."
In the dictionary under "Stratospheric" there is a reference to this one ...... The last one sold for US$330. I would be nice if Micro Trains could do a re-run of a couple of Presidents. I've been tempted to buy this series but only if I can get the whole lot ... not necessarily in one purchase ..... if one, two or three are unattainable the rest are not much use apart from being stock to repaint. I did buy the whole State car series and the additional territory / Moon / Mars cars. If more matching cars come out I would get them.
Not to toot my own horn... OK, well maybe to toot my own horn, although this is NOT my listing... If anyone for some inexplicable reason would like one of my UMTRR Tenth Anniversary Cars, here's your chance. It's one of four different cars in a lot starting at 99 cents plus shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/115728666720 Since all of the labels were signed and personalized I wonder whose car this was. I only made a few open hoppers-- the "Another Carload of Bytes" line is even more ridiculous with an open top car (if I say so myself )
That N Gauge Exchange car sure brings back memories! I first met Lee in 1980. I did not walk away from his tables empty handed!
OHHH! Looks like I'm going to be giving my PayPal account a workout. There is at least one or more HIGH VALUE cars listed.
MINITRIX.. Eh?! Looks more Like a BACHMANN to me. if one need more info pictures here's the link >N scale Minitrix AT&SF Steam Locomotive -Not Working | eBay Tom
No tender. Hmmm. Maybe five bucks, as it is only for parts. That is what I have sold a number of these for, in the past.
This is a good one. He even states he knows nothing about trains… and it shows. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3539761496...4l3Ld8_Q8e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY And another https://www.ebay.com/itm/3539761598...4l3Ld8_Q8e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The Farce is strong with this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3539761629...4l3Ld8_Q8e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
"Since you said you don't know anything about trains, here's a tip. Move the decimal point one place to the left. $100 is the going rate for these, not $1000. Hope you didn't overpay at the estate sale where you picked these up hoping to make a quick buck!" Regrettably, I don't have the time or interest to send...
What's amazing about sellers like this, if they truly don't know anything about something they're trying to sell, there's neat little app on your phone or computer called Google. It's amazing what info it can cough up about pretty much anything... My guess is that they know about their stuff and are just trying to make a sympathy buck.
