Those tenders are from the old turbine engines, who go them from steam engines..ny best bet would be to go to swap meet, try to find one there, fix it up and repaint it....best to you!!

Looking good! I'll have plenty of questions when you're done.

Hi Dan...I've been thinking of making the tenders out of one cast piece. Take a look at the trucks on the Bachmann Spectrum Vanderbuilt tender # 89451. The trucks are an exact match...better than the Veranda tender trucks. You might also be able to use the light fixture.

I tried to get the dimensions from Wasatch, but they have no drawings or other records so photos will have to do. I have a few that you might not have and can PM them to you. Best wishes on this project...I can't wait to see how it looks! Really looking good!!!

Hi again Dan..is this HO or N? I don't know if Bachmann makes the tender (for the trucks ) in HO or not.

Hey Steve - I had same problem trying to get info from Wasatch too. I found an article ( I copyed it and posted here few posts back that I did most of my guessing from). I have a Precision Scale Co. Cat. #3.1 = the trucks are a Commonwealth Tender truck with rollerbearing journals-I still gotta call the to find out spec on wheelbase length, from that article the wheelbase is 10' and truck centers are 23'-5". I too though about casting this model-I think I am going to make 3 of these-the last one will be the one I will use to make the mold. Ill keep posting. Thank you again

I thought it might be after seeing the rivets on your tender sides. You will probably have an easier time finding the trucks for HO.
