Brand new in box junk Bachmann BN F-9 engine $195...really. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BACHMANN-N-...098990?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f25bd3eae
I was wondering what the most expensive Micro Train car that actually sold recently was. This car: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Cus...645524?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c32d10d54 went for $132.09 but was a custom weathered car. This car went for $130.00 and is a production run car so it looks like the winner: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Mic...710956?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3a7f5a0c2c Notice to those listing MT cars for hundreds of dollars...the aren't selling. $3000: http://www.ebay.com/itm/KADEE-MICRO...090615?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item4173c3deb7 $475: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20072-14443...332461?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f25c0cead $340: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kadee-Micro...142226?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3382398e92 $475:
That shocks me that someone would pay $130 for a weathered MTL car. I sold some on feEbay a little over a year ago that were weathered. I was PMd by several people that asked me how I could ask $15 for a MTL car that was weathered? It seems that people think as soon as a MTL car has been molested that the value plummets.
Yeah - I just realized that when I had to actually use the po today - well - they do but its called to them 'certified' and cost over $3. I did buy Insurance at $1.95 which does give a track number. BUT THE BIG NEWS is this - If you the seller use the ebay shipping method - yes - First Class is available when weight is 13oz or under, and includes FREE delivery confirmation. See below - I use it all the time especially w/N stuff
I may have posted this one before but still... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atlas-Train...l_RR_Trains&hash=item4d0baadcbc#ht_760wt_1141 Here's another one of those Micro Trains cars... http://www.ebay.com/itm/22040-22177..._RR_Trains&hash=item4d0a7424bb#ht_2236wt_1091 I see what you all think... http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Tra...l_RR_Trains&hash=item20d3d5e0c0#ht_691wt_1328
Notice how they are driving everything toward their own in-house services,.... I begin to wonder when they will take over USPS.
The funny part is the shipping of $10.75 - as there are 2 large Spectrum Power Packs, and not 1, nor 2, nor 3, but FOUR of them useless 'doorstop' brick power units as well - that alone could take the postage way over the top for the seller. Other than that - its mostly Bachmann junk, which doesnt earn the price. I think some 'new' sellers have been getting tired of the real world, where one tries to sell off their 'collection' to a dealer/reseller, and expects top dollar for the supposed 'collection'. And when reality sets in, with the offer of maybe $120, they whine, cry, and then maybe they turn to flea-bay where they can ask ridiculous prices - i suppose. . .
It's HO and it's not very expensive, but what where they thinking?!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/LotB-76-One...170637?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f260aa1cd
THe way it's gone,it's kinda goofy, but I think the concept is cool.A seperate tender woulda been better, maybe a little more boxcab looking cab..
Only such ever built by the Alien Mutation Loco Works. Originally owned by the Dazed & Stoned Central RR.
How can this run great while the rear truck sits to the side. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BACHMAN-N-S...810234?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3cd254cb7a
http://www.ebay.com/itm/KATO-UNITRA...880276?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item51a9c91b94 Smokin' deal: $11.99 for a used Kato rerailer "appears to be complete and in good condition." And ONLY $6.80 for shipping!
It is not a bad looking creation from the lab on a dark Halloween night. Does tempt me though. Let see I have a bunch of old steam and diesel shells and a number of scrap mechanisms, plus a few old covered hoppers. Hmm a dual cab steam turbine using pulverized coal with a big water tender trailing behind. Nahh I have some serious fishing to catch up on if it ever stops raining and the flood waters subside. It will have to wait until winter.
Having seen photos of your parts boxes, I have no doubts that you'd be able to create that beast described!
I saw that. It was referenced on an SP list. I thought, $9.95 maybe I should bid. Then reality sunk it that it would be wrong to own something like that. Bad juju.
I must confess that, even though I thought the weathering was overdone, and somewhat ruined the car, I did go back and buy the car after it was re-listed at a lower price with free shipping. :startled:
