I would presume that making a few bucks is the name of his game. Therefore, accuracy might bring in more bids. Guess he really doesn't care about money, so why bother trying to sell it?

First Class International and Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box do not offer insurance or delivery confirmation. They are fairly cheap. Regular Priority Mail offers tracking and insurance. This is a more expensive option.

go to USPS.com and click Calculate Postage. Put in a country, value, and weight. Click Priority Mail or First Class Mail. Then look at Customs Forms and Extra Services. It will tell you which services, like insurance you can add with which services.

It is actually easier to ship internationally from the E Bay site.

The big thing on E Bay is there is no seller protection if you ship First Class or Small Flat Rate Box. Buyer can say it never showed up, file a claim, and E Bay/Pay Pall will side with the buyer and give them their money back.

I will ship a car or two First Class, but not anything valuable. Valuable will go regular Priority Mail.

Incidentally, I have never had a problem.

I know this is not an Ebay class... But....
For my own education, are you specifically referring to international shipping when you mentioned above that there is no seller protection for first class or small flat rate box? Or is that for domestic too?

"Paired together"? Does this mean some sort of permanent coupling? If so, it would seem to actually be somewhat of a negative. I'm trying to recall something- Were these units somewhat oversized in scale? My one engine was sold too long ago to remember.

This is for international shipping only. Seller protection requires trackable packages. If you use First Class Mail or priority mail small flat rate box and print the postage from your computer, then there is a tracking number. This number satisfies the E Bay Seller Protection Policy.

Because the tracking info is not available for First Class and Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box International, it does not get You Seller Protection. The buyer could file a claim saying he never received the box and E Bay would refund his money because the seller found not prove it was delivered.

I ship First Class International on low value items. I have never had a problem with a package not arriving or a buyer being dishonest. If the package has a higher value, I ship regular Priority Mail which does offer tracking.

    Thanks for clarification.

    Back Ebay.... Bit steep? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Huge-Lot-of...910375?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item43c363dc27
Even with free shipping from Canada, this is like high retail prices. Many can be found for 1/2 retail on ebay...

    "Vintage" http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Atl...779011?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item258b4b9f83 ALL for $425. Old = $$

Considering that they still have Rapido couplers, not much of one. I think "Paired together" is just an attempt at saying two locomotives in a fancy way.

In terms of being oversized, handrails would be my obvious first guess.

    That's $11.30 per vehicle...I'd say a bit steep

Title says 'Vintage N Scale' but description incorrectly says 'z scale'. Still junk for $425.

Is that diesel one of the old Atlas RSC2? If so, possibly the more valuable of those items offered. So if they'd drop the "4" and sell for $25.00, there might be a nibble.

while the RSC2 might be the most valuable, I did offer the seller $25.00 for the Mikado and was turned down.
oh well...hopefully no one will be naïve enough to meet his prices.
