You need more exclamation points and capital letters, i.e.

    "Nearly MINT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    ;)

I have never given a bad feedback, but recently I received a completely wrong item. It was a really cheap item with free shipping that was just too good to be true. I wasn’t even going do a feedback, but I was constantly being hassled by eBay to do it and I finally posted a negative feedback about not even getting what I bought.

So now the seller is trying to get me to change my negative to a positive and willing to refund my money. I kind of feel bad and want to go ahead and change it, but I cannot figure out how. Is it possible?

He ripped you off intentionally , If it was a mistake he would have offered to send you the correct item . I wouldn't do it .....

I agree with Mike, I wouldn't worry about it.
What's done is done and there is no way you can go back and change the feedback you've left. Only eBay can do that, and they need a real good reason to do that.
But don't worry, the negative feedback you left will only be on his plate for 12 months, then it's wiped clear.

Bad feedback i appropriate, wben bad things are done on purpose. This sounds like just such a case.

You should feel bad, and you should absolutely change it and get a refund if the seller is willing to work with you. Negative feedback should be reserved for situations where the seller was totally unreasonable and rude. Always contact a seller if there is a problem, you will most likely get a sincere apology and a refund or correction of the situation. Negative feedbacks are extremely discouraging to a seller that works hard, only to have his hard work undone by someone leaving a black mark on their record, without even giving them a chance to correct the situation.

Accidents can happen. I once had two packages to ship and accidentally swapped labels on each package. They each went to the wrong person. I was able to get both back and re-sent, with positive outcomes. This might have happened with what was sent your way- Purely unintentional.

He just sent me another email asking if he could send me a “revision comment request” and I guess that can change it. I looked and saw that he has a 98% rating. I think it might have been an accident if he is willing to refund my money, but I don’t want to pay for shipping to send it back. I actually don’t think it’s even worth the shipping.

Yes, exactly. I've been a seller on ebay for over ten years, at this point I'm shipping out around 100 items per week, accidents absolutely happen. Nothing is more disheartening then checking feedback and discovering a negative feedback out of the blue. Done on purpose, ripped off intentionally? A seller would have to be insane to do that.

I think that it is ALWAYS appropriate to TRY to contact the seller before leaving feedback when something goes wrong. Then, if the seller does't make it right, negative feedback is definitely in-order. But, nobody is perfect, so everybody should be given a chance to make it right if they make an honest mistake. Some even toss in a freebee to try to avoid negative feelings. The only time I have left negative feedback was the SECOND time in a row that a particular seller sent wrong on incomplete orders and never responded to any of my communication attempts, even a snail-mail letter. I waited so long for his response on the first item that I lost my opportunity to file any feedback on it. When I filed the negative feedback on the second item, he responded immediately. So, negative comments have their place. But, it is kind of like the "nuclear option" in the eBay world.

I waited over a month before leaving any feedback and like I said I was just going to let it pass. Anyway I told him I will change my feedback as soon as he sends me the form.
I also bought about 7 electronic items from China on 1/27/15 that has not come in yet and ebay has been sending me reminders almost every day to post feedbacks. I never post a feedback until I receive the items.
I’ve been very patent waiting for the items from China thinking that it had something to do with Long Beach dock problems, but I think that is over. Last Monday was the last day of the expected arrival date so I don’t know what to do now. I just sent a message today to see what happened and ask what to do next. I want the items, but I may have to ask for a refund.

Watch the calendar. You only have 45 days to file a grievance with Pay Pal. That will get the sellers attention.

I would revise the feedback AFTER the seller refunded the money. I would not pay return shipping. It was not your fault.

I would always contact the seller before leaving negative feedback. Once you leave negative feedback, the seller doesn't have incentive to make it right. If you negotiate before leaving feedback, you have the advantage. Do not use the threat of negative feedback. Don't put it in writing. That can be feedback extortion.

I had a buyer that left me a negative feedback less than an hour after the package was delivered. He overpaid and wanted a partial refund. He said the product was damaged. I asked for photographs and he did not respond. I told him if he had not left negative feedback, I would have issued a refund, but because he left negative before contacting me, I had no incentive to work with him. The guy was abusive and pretty much a jerk. I didn't trust him at all. Over the course of a few E Mails I got him to say he would change the feedback if I gave him a refund. Bingo Feedback Extortion. I called E Bay and they removed the feedback within an hour. I blocked him instantly and put his ID out on a few groups as a bad buyer. Many people blocked him.

He deserved it for being a scammer.

If he would have been a stand up guy and just asked for a partial refund, I would have given it to him.

I've seen sellers deliberately drag it out long enough to get past this deadline. A sleazy trick. Don't let that happen.

I'd say that's funny, in a pitiful kind of way. Reading through the description, he claims it is new in unopened packaging (which it looks to be) but then also states it includes handmade items, which it certainly doesn't seem to. Even if it's out of production, the listing doesn't seem to sell it well.

Other than parts for a kit basher or a replacement for a damaged shell about useless. One has to come up with a underframe for it or scratch their own to add it to a car fleet. And the one that comes to mind readily is the American Limited core kit which who knows when that will appear again if ever. And if a car underframe is available from Kato you have to end up adding that cost to an already overpriced item plus maybe the trucks.

Some days these listings leave a person just scratching their heads, wondering what are they thinking...?
