Last time I saw something like that it was a 50 year old caboose that had been abandoned on an old logging right of way. Trees were growing up through the end platforms. It still did not look that bad after all that time. Fella must have been from the school of more is better. Either that or all the crud is hiding some really bad modeling.
Aside from too much money, especially with shipping costs, it would probably get more interest if listed in late September.
I just can’t get into Halloween train stuff or even other novelty stuff. Christmas trains are one thing probably because they are part of my heritage. I can’t ever remember my family not having a Christmas train, but anything else just seems weird. LOL.
Saw something similar size, shape, colouring and texture when they pumped out our septic tank last time.....
Just when you though you'd seen everything.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-KID...891?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d5651c8ab
This is indeed different. I believe it would draw even more interest if the seller had first removed the riders.
I guess this could be used in N Scale. I saw this and just had to pass this along. Both bags are in stock at Arizona Rock and Mineral. Cost is $6.00 each plus shipping. Total $19.15 delivered to my mailbox. What were these people thinking? Why don't these people bid on my auctions?
Seller is from Los Gatos, that should tell you everything, it is an area where there is more money than common sense.......
Every time I see something like this I get the urge to go to a neighbors yard and collect some pea rocks to bag up as 'rare' authentic N scale boulders. If I stain them in a manner that they look like they came from the deserts of the southwestern US... I could probably retire. Well... only if I find buyers like the ones that purchased those 'coal' packages. Seriously though... there has to be some sort of ruse going on here. I wouldn't doubt that they may be laundering money or something by using products to disguise a legit sale.
I’ve noticed on a few different occasions in the past what appeared to be some sort of bidding competition between a few people. They were biding outrages amounts well over what they could “buy now” for the same item. I see only 8 bids for this one so I don’t know what happened here.
Another RARE & Vintage engine. Bachmann made what 100,000 of these old 0-6-0s www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-Model-Tra...695?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa4d0e10f
I'd bet it can be found in many dollar sale bins at swap meets. Along with it's many identical rare twins....
