I saw it the first day of the post...before there where any replies. It was already @ 89.xx. So maybe he caught it himself.
I have one of these to sell shortly, so I was looking for some specific info on it. Did a Google search and came up with this! I know it's not out of the norm for this seller to have overly high prices, but DAMN!!!!! Really!?!? http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-KAT...-SANTA-PASSENGER-SET-4-CARS-NEW-/130738600076
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rivarossi-N...292?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item463b821fd4 Its better than a backman LOL .This guy might want to proof read his listings before posting his item.
I can not beleave no one has bid on this yet. Hurry before it is gone. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-N-...530?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cfa2e7d72
He needs to have an inverted offering. He pays YOU to take that POS off his hands..and he pays shipping.
It almost looks like a locomotive. Has regular freight trucks under it after all. But, let's not overlook that it's Narrow Gauge!! So, most of us might not be able to use it! Agree with the reverse deal!
Did you see that he also has this gem????? Makes that dummy locomotive look good! It looks like there's a Bachmann 4-8-4 cab roof glued on the short nose, with some kind of a headlight on it, and then it was given to the dog as a chew toy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-n-...7&pid=100005&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=261895388530&rt=nc And yet inexplicably, the fan interiors are carefully painted black, and there's something that looks like a winterization hatch....near the circular air horns. "appears that it may have been re-painted.", yeah, that'll buff right out with a little acetone.
He is obviously on way better meds then I am. And I take 12 different pills a day :closedmouth::uhoh:
Heavily trashed shell, says Fair Condition?? Sure he isn't from here, Colorado, and smokin' some heavy duty weed?? Gotta be on something!! And I thought the 5 pills I take daily was bad enough!
The more I look at that one the funnier it gets. I mean... look at the bottom view, and you can see that the trucks are so far back from the end that the Rapido coupler is actually inside the sill. And there's some kind of a scale-sized dummy coupler on another end sill, carefully mounted... And there's a FIGURE, glued on the front 'deck' (patio?) looking forward, as even more attention to fine detail. It's that mystical combination of sheer lunacy and fine detail, mixed with apocalyptic collateral damage that draws me to this one. A nomination to this thread's hall of fame is in order. I'm tellin' ya, 400+ pages, and I'm still absolutely dumbfounded checking this thread every once in a while.
I believe that most folks enduring a bad acid trip could create something better than this monstrosity. Good grief. Eyuck doesn't describe it well enough.
If Mad Max was a locomotive engineer.... Nah, who am I kidding. I'll have what that guy's having thank you very much.
As randgust said, it was given to the dog as a chew toy...............then retrieved a couple of days later after the dog swallowed it. I bet that poor dog shook something fierce! Ebay ought to pull the offering and the person should be charged with cruelty to animals!
Can I sue, for emotional distress, from viewing it?? As well as visual harassment/assault?? Cause it gave me major nightmares for ever and a day?? :teeth: :teeth:
