You are welcome! Here is a quick drive by shot from this weekend. It looks like they are getting close to being done with the restoration. Ben
Thanks for the photo Ben. I was in Clear Creek county yestarday and stopped by the paper and talked with one of the guys who has been covering the Loop. He said that the new new owner's priority is getting No. 9 under steam shortly after the beginning of the year. He seemed very optimistic that it would happen. He also told me that the local businesses in Georetown feel better about the railroad now that it is locally owned and the owner has a passion for the community and the railroad. I also checked their web and I see that they are doing some seasonal runs and special runs. I like that and if I still lived there I would definately take my little girl to see Santa on the train. Last weekend I drove through Palisade and noticed C&S #9 was gone. It looks like she has made it to her new home in Breckenridge, CO. Historic locomotive returns to Breckenridge Summit County Citizens Voice Ben
Wow. I see they are doing very well with the restoration of C&S #9. I really wished she will steam again. She is my favorite surviving C&S steam engine.
Welcome to the TrainBoard Matt! They did a pretty good job on old #9. Now the same company appears to be doing similar work to D&RGW 278. Cimarron Canyon Rail Exhibits Being Restored - TrainBoard.com Ben
