Looks good Mike! I had the 650 second out in my consist yesterday, old girl's got a lot of mileage behind her.
How did you get the etched brake hoses and grab irons off with little to no marks left on it? I tried to cut them off then had to sandpaper the rest so it looks a bit scratched.
Thanks , If you happen on her again would you be able to take a picture or two? Thanks so much , Mike
That is cool but I have No B's , I scored a SD70Mac on the Bay for 36 bucksin H2 and will work on it next. Thanks so much for the cool Pic. !!! Mike
Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I'll be starting the second SD40M-2 this week. Boston: I use and Exacto #17 chisel blade, taking most of the details off in a couple passes. From there I use sanding sticks, usually 300 and 400 grit until I get it where I want it.
I've been working on a new river corssing on my layout. The bridge is a Walthers kit and the track is ME flex. I still need to weather and install the guard rails.
Hello all... the "ARBONADO" Ntrak module has been delivered to the very capable hands at AustNtrak... and now, I can get back to some serious modelling of the Fast Mail and the Kingman Canyon layout... recently acquired were the beautiful, limited run GHQ Pennsy express reefers; also, some very nice lasercut car sides arrived from Laser Horizons...an Erie Smoothside baggage express, and a NYC smoothside baggae express...these will really give some variety to my ATSF Fast Mail consists.... Thanks for looking, Bruce
Well, she's finally done... I will be using a pair of Corman SD40-2's to help load the coal hoppers at the Clymer coalveyor site on my layout. I haven't decided what is next, whether it be another Corman or another NS Dash 9. For now I'm going to focus on getting some work done on the Clymer side of the layout and go from there.
