That's better. For a moment, I thought I was goingm to have to hunt you down and threaten not-nice things to you with my Horribly Oversized cannon to find out what the surprise was. And I don't thnk you'll want to know what an HO Howitzer shell qwill do to a Rundhouse... But at least you wouldn't have to replace the roof!
Got word that TBX 3401 was heading back to the Bay Area. Went to one of my favorite spots and caught the special car on a freight headed to Oakland behind SP AC-9.
Engineer of this Lima giant is leaning way out to make sure he can see along the huge boiler at the track ahead.
Later this week found TB 3401 with a cut of empties in a siding waiting to be interchanged to the Santa Fe as Commuter trains roll by. Have to check later this weekend and see when the ATSF is going to be handling this car.
Hmmm. Heading to Sacramento tomorrow, wonder if I should swing from Pinole over to Concord via Franklin Canyon, see if we can catch sight of it along the rails. biggrin:
Caboose enters the siding and the Brakeman has the switch lined back for the main. I think I hear a whistle in the distance.
Good timing too....a fast moving passenger train with a 4-8-4 passes by the headend of the Trainboard cars train.
Went and had lunch with Rick and came back to find the freight had left, but TBX 3401 had been spotted at the end of the line on my layout to unload the ties. Maybe finally I will be able to get more track down!!!! (100 degree temps in here dont help at all!!)
