While TBX 3401 might be at the end of the line on my layout, her journey has been one heck of a trip and covered many miles on many great lines. I'll have to check back later and see if they get her empty by this evening when it cools down some.
Jerry - Lunch was GREAT! :we2-jimlad: Catching all that activity in Franklin Canyon, on the way to the National Train show was a treat (versus the straight through shot on I-80) was a great way to start the day. Will need to keep an eye out for the car on its return to the Bay Area. (p.s. - next time you are really out here, lunch is on me!)
12hrs + a day and hot weather, and now a storm has been preventing me from getting back to Franklin Canyon!!!!
That's too bad, cause Franklin Canyon's been a cool & slightly breezy mid-70s all this week! [Maybe I should start marketing "N-Scale SF Bay Area Weather" in a bottle ] Groovy photo essay! Good luck with the weather! [Is not being able to work on your layout because of "an act of god" covered by NMRA insurance?] [should be]
Before sending TBX 3401 home, she got a little tour of the Gadsden Area, (And actually a trip to Guntersville and back too. ) Here she sits in Gadsden Yard.
OK - that's WAY COOL! If I dress up like TBX3401, will you take me to see all these neat 1:1 scale toys? PLEASE!!!!
Yes, I know the whereabouts....BUT....it has been so dang hot and muggy that everytime I bring the camera out of the house it gets 'fogged' up!!!! I even left it out in the garage this weekend, and there is still so much muggy air it is still a no go!!!! I brought another fan down there today to try and move air around and see what happens. TBX 3401 probably cant wait to get to CA to cool down!!! LOL Funny to say that!!!
This is really bumming me out too because the photo I want to take is going to be very cool..... We have some major rain coming the news just said so hopifully that will cool it down some this week.
Uhhmm, Mark, have you watched the weather lately, heard of a little guy called Tropical storm (formerly hurricane) Lee??:tb-shocked:My son lives in Shreveport and says it is raining like crazy! It looks like southern La and Alabama was getting the brunt of it.
