This started out as a Trix PRR K4 Pacific. After a stint in the back shop it emerged as a Southern Pacific (T&NO) P-6. Here it is hauling the Hustler between Dallas and Houston.
GRRRRRRR OK Gramps you've done it this time. :mconfused::mconfused: Every time I get ready to work on my layout you post another picture and end saying "what's the Use". biggrin: Seriously, how big is your layout and how do you get those "down on the tracks shots" ? Also while it's not so evident in this shot several others have shown a tremendous apparent depth to them. Please tell it took you years to do this. Bruce
Thanks, Bruce. My layout is approx. 15'x36', not counting staging at both ends. I just sit the camera on the layout and raise the back a little. I use Aper. priority, no flash, set f stop at 8.0 and use manual focus. DJ.
Not trying to be 'artistic', but I thought this came out kind of neat as the train was rolling by.If/when I place some crossing gates it will be great.
A little 'too much' on this hopper? it sure clashes with the engine...:tb-embarrassed: BUT seeing the pics really helps to draw out the 'errors' in the layout. (at least for me)
.... To say railroading isn't what it use to be, certainly can't be a bad thing. To atest that phrase, engine crews were given Easter Sunday off to enjoy the holiday as we can see their trains waiting for their return to work. You'd wouldn't expect that to happen years ago when EVERY day was all about making a profit .....
Cool pics wheeler! Sure, that hopper clashes with the loco, but remember hoppers are regularly bathed in clouds of dust at loading time, locos aren't. Keep it coming!
Click on your attachment so it's displayed full size, then right-click and choose "copy image location". With that copied, go back to your post and click the insert image icon . Hit Ctrl+v and the image location from before will be pasted into the text field. Hit ok, and bingo, your photo will be embedded. You can do that for any image URL.
Where is the insert image icon. I do not see this in edit / advance edit. (for a computer geek....I should know this ) I know I could type the HTML code IMG but I am looking for the lazy easy way
It is on the toolbar that also has the bold, italic, and underline icons, just above the message box when typing a post.
