I knew you had to be eastward, as the RR is on your left. OK. Now I know where this was taken. This is past "Summit" on the railroad, but the highway summit is actually further east from that of the RR.
Yea, sorry on quality of pics. I try tho. Here's a pic took on Thursday the new UP commercial was filmed in this area. Good luck
Well after some time off at home. Was off to work. Here is a cowboy tunnel motor to think about. Yea it's also time of year for bug splatters too. Yes boxxy was right 2 in a row. VT
Got it! 41.54212, -109.7102 Just a few miles west of Green River, WY, I-80 is the road, facing east. Google Maps shows this is a spur off the UP main to Solvay Chemicals. I think this is the plant that lads the monster trains of potash on UP that used to storm thru Cheyenne back in the day (prolly still do).
Wyoming is correct and Hemi did some nice research. I have a really nice run from Denver going east so you all know where I will be so should we say cloesest town on the I-70 run. Hope for some good pics on my way to Rifle
Jim, I searched high and low for photos of those Cowboy units. No photos I could find exist of than the ones you shared. Impressive paint scheme, for sure.
On the cowboy engine want to say Wmax marks. Been real busy but found this coal drag heading west across the salt as I sat at the salt plant.
Boxcab right again. Well since I missed the circus train today. It went by nothing special for power found this switcher close to Cabelas headquarters
S&L Railroad, LLC- Sidney, NE? Is that an ALCo? Can't be certain, but it has some features which seem that way?
Ok let's try new area. Here is a heritage engine. It's enroute towards Boise. Best of luck. See if you can get Boxcab on his streak
