Hey Kev, Grew up in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, remember when the Big Boy was brought to town. Been there after the complete build of the museum and the place looks awesome, they even have a working yard for a revised Delaware & Lackawanna. They are trying to get commuter rail extended from New Jersey to bring back some form of passenger rail service. Norfolk Southern is doing the heritage themes and they are going to have them all here at Spencer on July 3 & 4 but, its a $25 admission fee.
Hi Goobnav, I grew up visiting the Scranton Wilkes-Barre area. My father is from West Pittston and my grandmother lived right down the street from where the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western line crosses the Susquehanna River. I remember watching the trains pass right in front of her house and would always wave to the engineers. I have real fond memories from visiting there every summer as a child. I love that area of Pa! I hate that I don't get to make it up there too often anymore. Next time I plan of visiting the Museum.
Yeah I got it. sent you a reply. I know that happened a few months after we had been up there. It was terrible! My uncle got some water in his basement but that was it. I wish I could get up there for some Sabatini's pizza! You can't get good pizza like that down here in the south!
2 bay hoppers in ICG? ICG REALLY? Cant Micro Trains at least get the eras to match the paint schemes? I would have loved a dozen Illinois Central hoppers, fit right in the 50s to EARLY 60s. But post GMO/IC merger Illinois Central Gulf in 2 bays????? I wish they would hire someone with more historical research experience than marketing experience. Just make some 2 bay circus hoppers, they would sell, and fit right in.
I'd like to see some Erie equipment, especially steam era. I like the Erie; in fact, I used to own it about 150 years ago.
I would like to see more Pennsylvania in the following; 40' double door, 40' stock car, 50' single door boxcar, 50' fish belly flat car, SD9, and some decals!
I am mostly interested in B&O, Chessie and CSX. My ultimate wish would be to see the Baltimore & Annapolis Railroad in Z, but short lines are probably pretty unlikely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Locomotives: Primary: UP, DGNO, BNSF, BN, TRE Secondary: ATSF, NS, FWWR, Amtrak, MKT Freight Cars: UP, BNSF, BN, MP, MKT, TTX, Railgon, Railbox, ATSF, DRGW, NS, CSX, KCS, WC, SOO, CNW, NOKL, Modern Private Marks (UTLX, TILX, NATX, et al) Passenger: Amtrak, TRE Commuter, UP Modern Business Train, BNSF Modern Business Train
They do have TRE available... Definitely Amtrak, id kill for a P42 in Z and some Amfleets, Horizons, Superliners and maybe the Veiwliners. But if your gonna start, start with a P42 and a set of Amfleets, those are seen everywhere lol. Oh oh oh F40PH... Cant forget that one either! Make a P42 and I will buy every phase produced... As long as it's priced right... I.e. Plastic not brass.. And you know $150 range.... as a single loco that is... Unless that's for a set too then definitely count me in!
I'm beyond shocked that AZL hasn't done Amtrak stuff yet. P42 and some Superliners would be hot sellers I would imagine. And relatively easy tooling it would seem.
I'm not fond of passenger equipment but I do second above statements, I guess P32/P40/P42 units would be good sellers. I definitly prefer them over P59PHIs. Dom
