For sure, I am looking for the New York City IRT, IND and BMT subway cars vintage 1930's-1950's (with rattan seats) And, make sure they are available in Z scale too 'cause now only some HO and O are available
I would like to see Milwaukee Road SD40-2's,and MP15AC's,a bay window caboose,60' bulk head flat,89'flat car,89'Tri Level Auto Rack fully enclosed, cement hoppers, decals for Milwaukee Road and other railroads,Rock Island and C&NW SD40-2's and bay window cabooses.
Now that MTL has some loco shells & Bachmann has their Nscale parts for sale, it's going to be a fun wunter to see what can be bashed together.
Hmmm, sd40-2 is out; now that would be too coool to see one in BCRail colors, with matching 66' bulkhead flats...should be an easy task for MTL, both models are here and just need to be painted ... I would buy as much as BC Rail had on its roster! Line 'o SD40-2s BCOL 864183 Daniel
I search for West Side Lumber Decals, this is my preferred logging company. Perhaps I will order my own decals. I am just asking me if I will also use this nice logo that was used for other scales already.
Hi Armand, If you have your work ready in an acceptable format such as Corel you might be able to have them done by someone with an ALPS printer. I don't believe Microscale offers this logo -- in N or HO. For me, I had to go the custom route and decided to use Rail Graphics -- of Elgin, Illinois. He did a great job and much less expensive then a Microscale special run. Plus, you'll have multiple sheets that you can sell/trade if you desire. If you want a copy of one of my decal sheets to review their work, PM me and I'll forward it to you. BTW isn't Zthek working on some lumber co. decals?
Since I got some of the things I wished for, let me try again. Lots of steam coming, lets hope some of it is the CB&Q. GP 7s and 30s in Q colors would be great too. I have heard there would be F3s someday, again Q. How about some external braced boxcars, and perhaps composite hoppers? How about some 3 and 4 bay open hoppers? Again cabeese, ( I know, I know, the "experts" say the companies will all go broke if they make cabeese) . You would think for every steam engine you would need 1 caboose and for diesels perhaps 1 for every 3 (until the FRED era).
I would like to see some Rock Island observation, an some domed cars, also some passanger cars with diffrent road numbers. I would also like to see MT make some more Red and silver And Blue and silver F7-A & B Engines
If MTL is going to make 2 bay coal hoppers, then how about MOPAC and Illinois Central? Correct CB&Q would be nice too, but since IC and Mopac has not been done, those would be the ones I would want. Not many cars in Z in those colors. That should make the Midwestern dudes happy.
The DL&W & NYS&W would round out the roads I need for my "been there" dream train. I would also like to see Reading & CNJ box cars & PRR flat cars or gondolas. A loco wish list would include a PRR H9s and a Baldwin BS6a or BS10a and a PRR N6b cabin to round things out.
USAR COMPOSITE DROP BOTTOM GONDOLAS PLEASE!!!! In CB&Q colors of course . You can never have too many gondolas,.
Hi. My modelling railroad is PGE (Pacific Great Eastern) which later became known as British Columbia Railway / BC Rail. It connected to a number of US railroads not to mention CN and CP. Since the transistion era accomodates steam and diesel, a diesel switcher or light service such as RS3 ... RS18 would be nice, especially the orange PGE RS18. No z scale RS## loco's to my knowledge as of this post. In respect to freight, thrall gondola comes to mind but more wishful would be the pressurized cylindrical hopper (AAR class LO, Builder P75). Number of roads as well as industries (including procor) had 3 & 5 bay. BCOL 2206-2230 is nice, one can be scratched and renumbered as Alaska railroad 14850 series as well . Seen it in HO now but not z (or N I think). Looks like 1/2 tank and 1/2 covered hopper. Painting it white with PGE Map decal gives an older version of this car. With PD made, maybe an optional kit could also be done to convert PD to a tank car. Or, vise versa. I don't see PD or older shorter tank cars. Short tank cars often seen behind steam loco's (fire prevention) and next to roundhouses (all dirty, oily and grimey). I'm new to z and modelling so forgive my lack of knowledge. Right now, PGE I wish, PD Hopper and/or PD/Tank cars/conversion kit of sorts. ... Oh, may I wish for one more for hoepfully many ... MOW set ... Gondola, Flatbed, Caboose and Crane (maybe in balast grey color?). Thank you for asking and allowing me to express. Regards, Marcus.
Welcome to Trainboard Marcus. Your railroad sounds like a lot of fun. Sometimes I think the challenging the project, the more fun it is.
Hello, all I hope to see second run AZL GP30 DRGW Small logo, and more DRGW cars, Caboose, and GP7-GP9 and to see on future GP40 All in DRGW. It's my best wish list. Eric
Outside braced single sheath boxcars. CB&Q,Rio Grand, ect ect. I know, everyone does modern, but, since there is so much for this time period, might as well have something new that is missing. I always see these type of cars on almost every picture of a steam or early diesel train. Again for those doing 70s and 80s they could be part of your MOW fleet. You can get these in N from everyone, but not in Z from anywhere.
I too like Lehigh Valley. Speaking of Steam A favorite place of mine to visit when in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre are is the Steamtown Yard!
