The Congressional Special disappears west toward DeWitt, while an eastbound freight holds at the approach to the New Arch Bridge. West of Bridges Gorge, the four-track main splits into double mains running on opposite sides of the DeWitt West Branch tributary. The ABB unit on the siding is backing down toward Rose Valley, on the banks of the tributary.
