A couple of my model train buddies had a "limited run" of Texas and Pacific's F-7's made by InterMountain. They came by to test run them on my layout, they were so cool. My congratulations to IM on this run, nice job.

Sand Springs Railway - Yuba Steel Fabrication in West Sand Springs Industrial. Scratch built - The lines on the corrigated metal were made by paint building silver and starting at the bottom and put a piece of masking tape at what ever height you want the panels. Starting right under the tape use a brush with whethering chalk to add a shadow (very light) just under the tape. Move it up, do it again, and again and again.

Sand Springs Railway - Overview of Sand Springs east. The skyboard is 1/8th inch masonite. Primed white, painted blue. The mountains are painted solid (green of you choice) a fan brush, just tipped in light green apple looking color, makes the ridges and valleys. Very easy, try it on a scrap to get the technique that soots you.

Sand Springs Railway - Vigo Dog Food - The Vigo can for the sign was a black and white photo that I copied from my high school yearbook, then with yellow colored pencil I changed it to the family yellow label, which I remember from my youth. The structure is scratch built with Holgate Reynold paper covering the styrene. The turbines are beads from a hobby store.

Sand Springs Railway - Entering Lake Station - The drainage pipes were heavy duty aluminum foil wrapped around a bolt to make the ridges. The water and drainage is my wife's clear fingernail polish and the dirt came from a dirt pile down the street that I sifted through a grease splatter screen.

Sand Springs Railway - West end of West Tulsa interchange, Occasionally we have "all steam day" on the Sand Springs layout and a turntable is used to turn the engines. A crew of pole setters are working on telephone poles. The wench in the truck was kitbashed with a diesel truck fuel tank and a few pieces of styrene. The telephone poles were scratchbuilt from brass.

Inexpensive (FUNCTIONING) signals for the thrifty minded modeler using red/green bi-polars. The design is flexible, but it is for the "non rivet counter" modelers. The shorter signals are used at a distance for perspective. I did the 26 signals on my layout for under $2 each.

Brass oil transfer platform - This is a replacement for one I made previously, the 1st platform was scratch built from styrene and vinyl coated wire, it warped because the styrene pieces were too thin. This new platform is constructed of brass and styrene.
