Neat little thing about coach 5442, it has sectional heating and cooling, something very uncommon at the time the car was built. Each one of these tubes is a thermostat with a set temperature. If you wanted to raise or lower the temperature in one section of the car, you removed one tube and replaced it with another that was set at a different temperature.
