Helix Construction, drawing spirals
Drawing a spiral for the track centres. Second, draw lines out for each Support (every 45 degrees). Using simple triangles to find 45 degrees: a pencil mark 400mm along each of the right-angles means the (long) ruler is sitting on the hypotenuse of an isosceles triangle, 565.68mm long. Half way along that must be 45 degrees.
