HO Models

This is a Athern former Rail Power pruduct CF7. Athern made several improvments to the units by making hand rails, New fans and a powered frame to fit the CF7 shell. Still several parts had to be rebuilt such as the steps. Being that no one like A-Line has made any cast steps to fit the CF7, I had to use roof walk material cut to size. This model is based on the former Midsouth 7005 which was retired and never ran agian. But on the North Carolina Central (NCCR). many older units still ply the rails and attract railfans from all over the counrty. This shot shows the rebuilt Ather Blomberg B side frames that were rebuilt to match the prototype. The brake rigging was removed from the standard B type side frames and had -2 Blomberg B brake rigging placed on the inside of the wheel sets. Also other details such as sanding cable and speed recorder are shown.
