Homemade Metal Spincaster

Shows the bottom of the plate. Lots of BS putting this together. I think Mr. Merriman used a block of wood, centered a hole, tapered part of it, and then put two all-threads thru it for his bottom plate. If you look at his photos, he can't use any large molds.
