MA&C roadbed construction

These photos are from my HO layout, the Middlesboro, Asheville & Charleston Railway. The layout is double deck connected by a long grade on the peninsula. Photos are of roadbed construction started in 2001. I use spline roadbed with homasote on top. Benchwork on bottom level is L-girder w/1X4 risers. Upper level is open grid hanging on 2x2 studs bolted to the block wall.
